The Ecovacs N8+ features an intelligent app that makes controlling this robot extremely intuitive. Not only does the app gives you the typical features like the ability to set a schedule and tell the vacuum to start or stop, but it also offers intelligent control like the ability to set virtual boundaries and tell the vacuum to clean by zone.

You can set no-go zones and also tell the robot where you don't want it to mop. The Ecovacs N8+ automatically generates a map after its first run. It labels each room with a letter, but you can label the rooms whatever you like. You can divide the areas and merge them to create a map that meets your needs.

Not only can you clean by area, but you can even tell the vacuum how many cleaning passes you want it to make and the vacuum power and water level you’d prefer for each room. This is a convenient feature, since you can tell the vacuum to skip quickly over areas that don't get as dirty but concentrate on spaces that tend to need heavier cleaning.

The app will also let you know when the docking station is full and needs to be emptied, so you won't need to check yourself to see when it's time to empty the bag. The bag is hypoallergenic and self-sealing, which means that you won't have to worry about allergens escaping as the robot’s onboard dustbin is emptied or when you remove the bag from the docking station.
