The robot can automatically detect which floor it is on, so it will know which map to use and provide the most efficient possible clean for each floor.
This robot can sense when its battery is running low and it will automatically return to the docking station to recharge and start up its cleaning again once it is charged. It can also sense when it encounters carpet, enabling it to vacuum and mop at the same time while intelligently avoiding carpeting, enabling a faster clean than most other options.
While all of the automated cleaning options are very nice, this robot also makes it convenient to control it directly from the robot. You can simply click a button on the robot to spot clean at any specific spot, so if you notice a particularly dirty area as your robot is cleaning, you just have to click the “spot clean” button to take care of it.

The Roborock S7+ doesn’t pack as much suction power as some other robot vacuums, topping out at only 2,500 PA. However, it makes better use of the suction power it has than most other vacuums, thanks to Hyperforce suction and a unique all rubber brush design.
The all rubber brush floats so that this robot can closely track along the ground, clinging to uneven surfaces and scraping up any dust or debris that it encounters. The side brush does an excellent job of pushing debris towards the main brush.
The lack of bristles also means that hair is less likely to get tangled in the brush, which enables a more consistent clean throughout. A 470ml dustbin does a good job of storing debris that it picks up. When it needs to empty the dustbin, it simply returns to the docking station and automatically empties itself there. Vacuuming is made more effective thanks to simultaneous sonic mopping. Stuck on debris is loosened by the mop pad so that it can more easily be vacuumed up.
When it comes to carpet, don't expect to be wowed by the Roborock S7+’s performance. Although this vacuum does a decent job of boosting its suction power on carpet, with a maximum suction of 2500 Pa, it simply can't be expected to loosen all of the dirt and debris from deep carpets. However, it does a pretty good job on low-pile carpets.
The Roborock S7+ uses sonic vibration to scrub as much as 3000 times per minute. This is powerful scrubbing action that can even get deeply embedded coffee and muddy footprints out of the floor.
It is doubly impressive that the Roborock S7+ can accomplish this kind of deep cleaning when you consider that you can’t add detergent to it. It intelligently puts out just the right amount of water needed to do the job, so it leaves your floors clean and shiny without streaks.

The Roborock S7+ is generally not exceptionally loud, thanks to a suction of only 2500 Pa. On the quietest setting, it is around 59 decibels, while the loudest is about 76 decibels. Expect the noise level to increase over carpet when suction boosts. This robot also makes a fair amount of noise when it docks and debris is emptied into the station.
Empty the Dustbin
With the Roborock S7+, emptying the dustbin is a breeze. This robot automatically empties itself into a dustbin in the docking station which you can easily remove and discard.
Every now and then some debris has a tendency to get hung up in the onboard dustbin. This is especially common with hair and string. Therefore, it's a good idea to give the onboard dustbin a good shake out periodically to make sure that all of the debris is being effectively emptied. However, for the most part, maintenance is minimal.
Clean the Brushes
The Roborock S7+ features an all rubber brush that demands less maintenance than combination bristle and rubber brushes or all bristle brushes. When it comes to hair, in particular, you'll be impressed by how little effort there is in cleaning the brushes, especially if you're used to other robot vacuums.
Whereas other vacuums often include a designated tool to cut the hair off, with the Roborock S7+, there usually isn't any hair to remove. Any hair that this vacuum picks up is effectively suctioned into the dustbin and then into the docking station.
Every now and then, you will notice some hair stuck in the spinning brush. This hair can be fairly easily detangled from the brush and removed.
Clean the Filter
The Roborock S7+ has a washable HEPA filter which does a superb job of removing nearly all of the dust and debris from the air that the vacuum sucks up. Depending on how often you run the vacuum and how dirty your home is, you'll need to wash the filter every week or up to every month and replace it every month to every few months. Make sure to check the filter regularly as you're getting used to using this vacuum so that you'll know how often it needs to be cleaned.
Wipe Down the Body of the Vacuum
Like most robot vacuums, it's important to wipe down the body of the Roborock S7+ periodically to remove dust that may have built up on it. This is especially important when the vacuum empties into the docking station, since there often ends up being some debris dropped onto the body of the vacuum at this time.
The Roborock S7+ is one of the best mopping and vacuuming robots on the market today. Features like the capacity to vacuum and mop simultaneously, sonic mopping that does a better job of scrubbing up debris than the competition, and the ability to lift up the mob when going over carpeting really sets this vacuum aside from the competition.
